Aaron J. Organ brings more than a decade of professional aviation and transportation experience to academia, spanning industry consulting, federal research, and workforce development. Before joining UVU Aviation faculty, he served as a Senior Consultant with WSP USA, where he led and supported national Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) initiatives for public-sector and private clients. His work includes serving as Co-Principal Investigator on multiple federally funded Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) and National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) studies, authoring nationally distributed guidebooks, and acting as lead technical writer for the Federal Highway Administration’s UAS program. Organ has also worked for the American Association of Airport Executives and has extensive experience managing aviation training programs, certification initiatives, and airport-focused research across the United States.
As an Assistant Professor, Aaron specializes in understanding where emerging aviation technologies and innovation can be integrated with legacy aviation. He is actively engaged in ongoing practical research and industry collaboration, which he brings to teaching in aviation management. Organ’s work bridges academia, industry, and policy, preparing students to navigate and lead within a rapidly evolving aviation ecosystem.
