Biography
I am a born-and-bred theatre nerd, participating in singing groups as a child all the way up through high school shows, training as a costumer, working on sets and props, directing/writing/composing and settling in as a practicing dramaturg. I hold an MA from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London (Advanced Theatre Practice), one from the University of Kent (European Theatre), and yet another MA from Brigham Young University in Performance & Media Studies. Most recently I have been teaching script analysis, theatre history, and playwriting; I also had a term teaching dramaturgy at UVU. Glad to be back! I have performed with Hale Centre Theatre, Pinnacle Acting Company, and at BYU; worked as a dramaturg and competition coach with high school theatre groups across the Salt Lake Valley; and served as a production dramaturg in London and Canterbury (UK), and across the Salt Lake valley. I specialize in adaptation dramaturgy and have seen TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD as adapted by Aaron Sorkin five times on two different continents. The sign language? *mind blown* Go ahead and ask me.
