Trista Tempest started dancing at the age of 3 and trained for 15 years at The Winner School in all genres of dance. In high school she was a member of the drill team and a member of the All-State drill team for two years. While in college she danced with the Utah Valley Dance Team for 2 years where she was the Choreography Captain. She was involved with student government while at UVSC and was involved with the Activities. Trista graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in School Health. She became a head coach at Bingham High School of the Minerettes after graduation where she also taught Health and Aerobics. She coached the Minerettes to their first State and National title. Trista has been a certified judge for the past 15 years judging competitions all over the country including Contest of Champions and USA dance/drill Nationals. Trista has been the director of The Salt Lake Valley Classic for the past twelve years. She is also the director of the Premier Drill Classic competition and Elite Dance Championship studio dance competition. In 2018 she returned to UVU as Assistant Spirit Squad Coordinator working with their nationally ranked Dance and Cheer team as well as their Drumline, The Green Man Group. She lives in South Jordan Utah with her husband Shane and their five kids Brynlee, Stockton, Beckham, Ruger and Graham.
