Biography
I live in Provo/Orem area with my wife Jessie and kids. I graduated with my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Utah State University with my dissertation measuring relationships between student perceptions of the learning environment in online developmental mathematics with course persistence and retention. I also graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics education and a master's degree in educational technology.
I work at Utah Valley University as the Sr Director of Academic Planning and Effectiveness and previously as the Sr. Director of the Office of Teaching and Learning, Director of the OTL Faculty Technology Lab, and as an Instructional Designer in faculty development/training of hybrid/online courses and educational technology implementation. Prior to working at UVU, I taught high school/middle school mathematics, computers and Spanish for 6 years in the Boise, Idaho area.
