Faculty Member
Carl Lorenz Canlas, Ph.D., MSIS/MPA, focuses his current research on cybersecurity audits, artificial intelligence, and project management. He holds a B.S. in Information Systems, an M.S. in Information Systems and Executive Master of Public Administration, and a Ph.D. in Information Technology. He holds multiple industry certifications, including ISACA CISA, ISC2 Cybersecurity, PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL, and Six Sigma Black Belt.
He currently serves as an editorial reviewer for the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS), and the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS). In these roles, he collaborates closely with authors to enhance the quality and clarity of their submissions, assists further with the peer review process, and coordinates with reviewers and editorial teams.
Dr. Canlas is married to Family and Human Development Professor, Dr. Jerevie Malig, and they have three beautiful children. Outside of the office, he enjoys basketball, multiplayer Starcraft and playing the bass guitar with his local band.
