Dr. Evans was born and raised in Utah. She received her Associate Degree from UVU and finished her Bachelor Degree at Utah State University. Her husband and three children have been amazing cheerleaders through her educational and career pursuits. She has always loved people and healthcare, and moved to Savannah, GA where she earned her MPAS in 2015. With a desire to work in Physician Assistant education, she went back to school in pursuit of a Doctorate of Education from Creighton University and graduated in 2025. Her dissertation research focused on young breast cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy and their experiences with post-traumatic growth. Cydne has been a PA for 11 years and has spent most of her clinic time in Gastroenterology. She continues to love clinical practice and currently works one day weekly as a cosmetic injector. Teaching is one of her passions and she is dedicated to continuing her growth here, at her dream job, teaching at UVU!

The Physician Assistant Program received the Data-Driven Exceptional Care Aware Award this year. As part of our PA program team, I work hard to take data from SRIs, testing, and student feedback and use that data to adjust as needed to create powerful outcomes for our students.
