Dr. Tyson Riskas

Biography

After working in the business sector in marketing, upper-level management, business ownership, and social media consulting I transitioned my career to business education in 2016. I am working on my Ph.D. in career and technical education curriculum and instruction with research interests in course modality and its effect on career readiness.

My teaching style is steeped in experiential learning. where you learn through experience and the application of business principles in your daily life. In other words, you learn as you do. This pedagogical style helps students learn at a pace that is comfortable for them, more easily transitions into long-term memory, and is immediately applicable and useful in daily life.
