Ray Griffin

Biography

Ray Griffin is an Adjunct Professor in the Strategic Management and Operations Department. He has been in the US Army for 16 years and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He currently serves as a Platoon Sergeant, Combatives Instructor, and HR Supervisor. He spent the last 11 years with Special Operations Command Korea, supporting multi-national exercises, and working with organizations contracted by the Department of Defense, and various government agencies. He has spent over 20 years in business working in sales, people & culture operations, marketing, product development, training, and leadership. His experience has included international business and product development in countries like China, Japan, England, and Turkey. He is also a professor in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, holding the rank of 3rd-degree black belt, with over 30 years of martial arts experience. He owns and operates Griffin Jiu Jitsu Academy in Orem where he and his family specialize in classes for kids, women, and adults, as well as law enforcement. They also teach courses in women empowerment, situational awareness, emotional resilience, firearms safety, personal and emergency preparedness, travel safety, and more. He has also built an online self-defense coaching business. He is a licensed Realtor and the owner of Ray Griffin Real Estate. He has built a thriving business through his vast network, and unique strategy, and supports first-time and seasoned homebuyers, as well as short-term rental and multi-family property investors. He has a BS in Business/Marketing and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
