Biography

Tracy Dunlap holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She brings extensive professional experience to her role as a Financial Aid & Scholarships Counselor at Utah Valley University, including higher education experience in Education Abroad & International Fellowships, the Office of International Affairs, and the Registrar’s Office, as well as prior roles in customer service, financial services, journalism, and retail. She specializes in accessibility and student advocacy.

At Gallaudet University, Tracy coordinated advising and global learning initiatives, supported multiple international programs, and served as the campus expert on international travel risk, managing health, safety, and security screenings for faculty, staff, and student travel. She was on-site for programs in Italy, Peru, and the United Kingdom, and also supported additional programs worldwide. Tracy took on leadership responsibilities during staff transitions and mentored new team members, collaborating closely with faculty and colleagues to ensure programs ran smoothly and met institutional and safety standards.

At UVU, Tracy helps students navigate the financial aid process with clarity and confidence. She draws on her diverse professional background, experience in education abroad, and expertise in accessibility to empower every student, remove barriers to funding, and support student success. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her golden retriever and experimenting with dishes inspired by global cuisines she’s discovered through her work and cultural interests.
