Dr. Hurdle received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008, his MAT in Mathematics Education from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2011, and his PhD in Mathematics Education from Texas State University in 2017. He has taught 5th grade math and researched elementary classes; created, directed, and lead secondary math programs (both domestic and abroad); and now teaches many undergraduate courses at the university level (formerly Southern Arkansas University, now Utah Valley University). His research interests are currently Montessori mathematics, calculus education, and online homework systems. He has presented at a variety of conferences, including PME-NA, SITE, RCML, and AMLE over the past years. At UVU, he teaches many of the mathematics pedagogy courses, such as MATH 2010, 2020, and 3030.
