Biography

I joined UVU in 2017 and I am delighted to be here. Prior to that, I served for two years as the Clinical Director for an accredited international Marriage and Family Therapy program, and for five years as the Program Director of a hybrid Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program, which I was able to lead through initial accreditation.

I am currently the Program Director for the UVU MFT program. I also serve on the Behavioral Health Board for DOPL.

In 2021, I served as the Chair of the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE). Over the past decade, I served as a COAMFTE site visitor, commissioner, and chair of the Standards Review Committee.

I earned a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from BYU. I earned my PhD in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from BYU.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am also an AAMFT-approved supervisor.
