Biography

Pronouns: He, Him, His

My name is Matthew Robins I graduated with a Bachelors in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Utah Valley University and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah. During my undergraduate education, I spent time as a student leader at UVU in the Volunteer and Service Learning Center (now Center for Social Impact), Wolverine Ambassador Program, Office of Student Involvement, the Center for the Advancement of Leadership and the UVU Student Association. I spent seven years working in Student Leadership and Involvement as the Assistant Director over Off-Campus Housing and Residence Life. In that position, I advised the Residential and Wolverine Community Leadership Programs as well as assisted the general student body with their search for housing in the area. I started my position as the Director for the LGBTQ+ Intercultural Engagement Program first as an Interim Director in April 2023 and then full time as Director in July 2023. In this position I assist students who are seeking LGBTQ+ related services, support, and opportunities for personal growth, safety, and a sense of belonging while attending UVU.
