Dr. Jonathan Wright

Biography

Jonathan Robert Wright received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. For 8 years, he worked full-time as a lead therapist in the acute care and inpatient rehab settings at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA.
In 2018, he joined the faculty at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) in Provo, UT. For 6 years, he taught neuromuscular therapy, evidence-based practice, and clinical integrations in RMU’s physical therapy program. Starting in the summer of 2019, Jonathan joined Intermountain Health part-time to continue providing patient care and conduct falls research. Jonathan also studied Healthcare Leadership and Administration at RMU and earned his PhD in 2023. In 2024, Jonathan shifted to managing 6 therapy clinics in Utah County, and in 2025, he transitioned to leadership consulting at Intermountain Health. He is excited to join the faculty at Utah Valley University to train the next generation of healthcare leaders. Jonathan continues to conduct research on preventing falls, optimizing care, and improving leadership performance. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys coaching football, hiking, and spending time with his wife and 5 children.
