Todd Leonard

Biography

Chef Todd C. Leonard, has been hovering over a hot stove since he was a young man. Culinary creation has been a passion that has driven him up the ranks from busboy to Executive Chef to Tenured Culinary Professor at Utah Valley University. Chef Todd enjoys the deep relationships developed between the UVU culinary team and the ripple effect it has on the students. He lives to teach and finds deeper meaning to his career as he invests himself to the student’s success and is able to see his students grasp the craft that he has come to love. He is also involved in research, development, and food creation for Thrive Life, a Utah-based Freeze Dried Specialty Foods Company.
Wit, humor, and BACON are his trademarks, and he is well known for pushing his students beyond their comfort level in order to succeed. He is a firm believer in the Art of Food and how it can transpire through hard work, dedication and commitment to the craft. Chef Todd Believes “Anyone can Cook” and always tries to motivate and inspire his infectious energy of the Culinary Craft!
