Biography
Scott provides direction for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming, certificates, diplomas, AAS, and AS degrees for traditional and nontraditional students at the University. He provides support, data and management of the federal Perkins funding allocated to UVU and represents UVU on the Mountainland Region Perkins Consortium. He also manages other sponsored workforce development grants and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and accurate record-keeping. He is part of the Workforce Alignment team.
Scott received his master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) at BYU and has worked extensively in the government and nonprofit sector in Utah. He served as Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association Utah Chapter, Family Support & Treatment Center and the Utah Governor's Commission on Volunteers. Many of his past experiences involved administering federal and state grants, contracts, and facilitating statewide collaborations on national service, volunteerism, community resources, literacy, aging, and child abuse prevention.
