Stevie Munz

Biography

Dr. Stevie M. Munz (Ph.D., Ohio University) is an associate professor in the Department of Communication at Utah Valley University. Her research program focuses on exploring how human beings understand and communicate their identity experiences in everyday life, with a special focus on the contexts of classrooms, small-town communities, and mediated spaces. To accomplish her research endeavors, she draws on intercultural, identity, and instructional communication literature as well as, utilizes storytelling, ethnographic, oral history, and narrative interviewing practices.
