Biography

Dianne was born in South Carolina, a sharecropper's daughter, first generation Baccalaureate in Nursing Science from Tuskegee University, 1973, Tuskegee, Alabama. After completing a graduate program in Education Management, Tuskegee University, she served in the US Army Nurse Corps for 8 years entering as a Captain and exiting as a Major, United States Army Nurse Corps. There was a 7 year child bearing hiatus and as the last child entered school, she reentered the work force and completed a graduate degree in Nursing Science with a Nurse Educator Certificate, an Ed.D in Health Professions, 2010, College of Saint Mary, Omaha, Nebraska and followed with completion of a Nursing Education Post Doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University, 2018. She is credentialed by the Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and by the Harvard Center for Medical Simularion as a certified Simulation Course Instructor. Dianne was selected for and inducted into the National League for Nursing's Academy of Nurse Educators (ANEF). She is also credentialed as a Senior Fellow Higher Education (SFHEA) through the Advance HE Academy, United Kingdom.
