Biography
I received my B.A. in Music with emphasis in Classical Guitar from Brigham Young University. I have an M.A. in Cognitive Psychology (Musical Rhythm Perception) from Wesleyan University. I have an Ed.S degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University where I am currently a doctoral student. I've been at UVU since 2017 where I have taught Introduction to Music, American Popular Music, Group Guitar, and Private Guitar classes.
My musical focus for the past 20 years has been on music performance as a singer/songwriter and recording artist. I have been involved with many aspects of the ?music industry? including songwriting/composition, recording, production, tour management, live sound, concert promotion, music for film, TV and radio. I have performed with and produced artists from around the world (Spain, Brazil, Romania, Ecuador, Togo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Senegal, France, Germany, India, Philippines, Nigeria, Cuba, China, USA, etc.) in both recording and live performance settings.
I grew up in Orem, Utah but have resided in Shanghai, China, San Sebastian, Spain, Bahia, Brazil, New York City, and the Philippines. I love languages and speak Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog and Ilongo.
