Biography
Marylynne considers herself a Renaissance woman, having explored multiple careers throughout her life. She began her professional journey in Southern California?s advertising industry after earning a bachelor's degree in Communications from BYU. Her passion for higher education emerged when she pursued a master?s degree in Humanities at the University of Colorado and began teaching undergraduate students. After attending numerous professional development workshops at UCD and Aprapahoe Community College, where she was also teaching, Marylynne was inspired to earn a Doctorate in Education from Baylor University. She joins UVU from 2U/edX, an education technology company, where she developed an entire professional development program for university educators teaching in online programs. In her free time, Marylynne enjoys reading and discussing books, traveling to Europe to explore art museums, and spending time with her two perfect grandchildren.
