Biography
Dr. Carmen Wolthuis Hall is a pianist, educator, and arts leader whose career bridges performance, pedagogy, and arts entrepreneurship. She appears regularly as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and internationally, with performances in Italy, Ghana, China, Japan, and the Netherlands. She has also been featured as a concerto soloist with several orchestras.
She is the Founder and Director of the Timpanogos Chamber Music Series, now in its fifth season, where she curates imaginative programs and performs frequently with guest artists. The series presented twenty-six concerts last year, engaging forty-two artists.
Dr. Hall is on the faculty of Mountain Springs Music Festival, a summer festival dedicated to providing high-quality music and leadership education to students of all ages and abilities. She also teaches at Utah Valley University, maintains an active private piano studio, and serves as President of the Utah Music Teachers Association.
She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Utah and degrees in piano performance and pedagogy from Brigham Young University.
