Biography
La Beene is an Associate Professor of Costume Design and Technology at Utah Valley University, serving as Department Chair. She has her MFA in Costume Design and Technology from Brigham Young University and has taught at the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She is a member of the Costume Society of America and USITT, serving as the Costume Design & Technology Commission Commissioner. In addition to teaching she is an active costume designer and makeup artist throughout the Greater Salt Lake City area and the U.S., designing for Sundance, Utah Opera, Salt Lake Acting Company, Plan B Theatre Co., Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, and Oregon Cabaret Theatre.
