Campus Climate & Engagement Committee

Our Purpose

The Campus Climate & Engagement Committee is tasked with developing, reviewing, and evaluating Campus Engagement plans and initiatives to create and sustain an inclusive environment, aiming to enhance the sense of belonging for UVU students, staff, and faculty.
To facilitate campus-wide dialogue pertains to the issues of Campus Engagement.
To provide a system of accountability for the Engagement Plan action steps.
A place to discuss new Campus Engagement initiatives, events, and programs and the impact of on campus climate and sense of belonging.

Shared definitions. Facilitate adoption and understanding of campus-wide shared definitions of cultural competence and sense of belonging.
Programs. Coordinate needs, opportunities, and assesments of culturally competent campus programs. Create a system of sense of belongin knowledge dissemination and data collection within and between colleges and divisions.
Curriculum. Coordinate the needs and opportunities assessment of cultural competency components of academic programs and classroom experiences.
