Audition Submission Instructions

  • Submit a video audition by April 17 at 9:59 AM
  • Video format: Unlisted YouTube link
  • Video title:
    “First & Last Name – Audition for  UVU Reading”

In Your Video:

  • Slate your name and song choice
  • Perform a contemporary 32‑bar cut
  • Audition videos may include a backing track or live accompaniment; however, accompaniment must not overpower the vocalist and the performer must remain clearly visible on screen at all times.

How to Make an Unlisted YouTube Video

Step‑by‑Step

  1. Sign in to YouTube at youtube.com
  2. Click your profile picture → YouTube Studio
  3. Click Create (+) → Upload a video
    (or select an existing video from Content)
  4. On the Visibility screen, select Unlisted
  5. Click Save
  6. Copy the video URL and share it using the audition form

Submit Your Audition

Callback Information

If you are called back, the Stage Manager will notify you of your scheduled date and time between April 20–22.

Please prepare:

  • Contemporary 32‑bar cut (sung live with an accompanist)
  • 1‑minute monologue (prepared or selected from a provided option)
  • Be prepared to sight read sample material from the musical
  • Be prepared to cold read sides
