Utah Valley University will hold a ribbon cutting for a suite of renovated classrooms and offices in the former Entrata Building (2912 Executive Parkway) at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi on March 2 at 11:15 a.m.

“This property is another big step in fulfilling UVU’s mission to provide opportunity, promote student success, and meet regional educational needs,” said UVU President Matthew S. Holland. “It will allow us to form closer partnerships with the working professionals of Silicon Slopes and the community of northern Utah Valley, especially non-traditional students.”The newly renovated space totals 13,700 square feet, including five classrooms, 10 offices, and student study areas. The building is located within walking distance of the Lehi UTA FrontRunner station. On March 2, President Holland and other UVU administrators, along with UTA officials, will travel to the Lehi event via FrontRunner train, boarding at the Orem station near UVU at 9:20 a.m.

UVU’s Office of Extended Studies will particularly utilize the new space, with executive MBA classes held at Thanksgiving Point, as well as general education and business courses offered during daytime and evening hours. A master’s program in cybersecurity begins there this fall.

In addition to UVU’s main Orem campus, the university operates satellite campuses and facilities in Provo, Heber City, and Vineyard. The university is now the largest institution of higher education in Utah, with more than 35,000 students.
