Mardi Gras comes to UVU

The Utah Valley University Student Association (UVUSA) will host its annual Mardi Gras event on Friday, March 1, 2019. Attendees will celebrate with a variety of activities, entertainment, and refreshments from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event will be held on campus in the Sorensen Student Center.

UVUSA has booked a number of performers including:

  • Magician Eric Dittelman (who made appearances on “America’s Got Talent” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”)
  • DJ Ricky Barrera
  • A hypnotist
  • A juggler
  • A comedy act

Gaming is also a key element for the night with the UVU ESports club hosting a gaming tournament. Those wanting to test their luck can try their hand at the casino tables.

“UVU Mardi Gras gives students something fun and safe to do with their friends for a cheap price,” said Tanner Reber, UVUSA entertainment chair. “This event also brings such a variety of entertainment that it really appeals to just about everyone. The performers are all Vegas-worthy performers that you cannot see anywhere else for this price.”

Students and non-students alike are invited to attend, but they must be 18 years or older and show a valid government issued ID at the door.

Pre-sale tickets are $5 for UVU and non-UVU students. The day of the event, ticket prices are $10 for UVU students and $15 for the non-UVU students and the general public.
