UVU Roots of Knowledge speaker series welcomes Pasek and Paul

 

pasekandpaulUtah Valley University’s Roots of Knowledge speaker series welcomes Oscar and Golden Globe-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Known for “The Greatest Showman,” “La La Land,” and “Dear Evan Hansen,” the duo will be speaking at UVU on Monday, February 26. Stephen Pullen, dean for the School of the Arts said, “We are so excited to have Pasek and Paul coming to UVU and we’re especially thrilled that they’ll be working with our students in musical theatre and music composition.” He continued, “It wasn’t long ago that they were college students themselves and now they’re one of the biggest songwriting teams in the world. It will be great for our students to see the possibilities for success that Pasek and Paul embody.”

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will treat guests to a presentation of their career in songwriting for stage, TV and film—which will also include performances from their catalog of award-winning music.
