Emeritus

Emeritus status is an honor and recognition for select retirees. Emeritus status provides
linkage with the institution in order to promote continued development of the University, retain
contact with those carrying significant university memory, and allow opportunity for specific
university privileges and benefits. A retiring employee shall submit the Emeritus Consideration Request Form to People & Culture no less than six months prior to the employee’s retirement date.

Benefits For Emeritus Designees

Emeritus UVU ID Card

To have access to Emeritus Benefits, Emeriti will be provided an updated UVU Employee ID Card indicating emeritus status. This card is provided at no cost by visiting Campus Connection upon approval.

Digital Access

Continued access and use of UVU employee email account. Online app version of Microsoft Office Suite products (Adobe products not included). 

Recognition

At the time of appointment, Emeriti will publicly and privately be honored (as deemed appropriate).

Campus Parking

Free annual campus parking permit. Registration is required each Fall semester for continued use.

Tuition Remission

Following guidelines set forth in UVU Policy 357 Employee Tuition Remission, Emeriti are eligible for tuition remission, as well as spouses and eligible child dependents (under age 26, unmarried).

UTA Transit Pass

Continued use of the UTA transit pass at no cost.
Visit Campus Connection Transit

Fulton Library

Continued access to the UVU Fulton Library.

Student Life and Wellness Center (SLWC)

10% discount off a membership to the Student Life and Wellness Center (SLWC).

UVU Campus Store

15% discount to the UVU Campus Store.

Noorda Center

20% off at the box office.

Community Education

$10 off per Continuing Education course taken.

UCCU Center

10% off on UVU sponsored events at UCCU Center.
