Ethics Bowl Victory

On Saturday, November 9th, the UVU Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Team competed against seven other schools and sixteen teams in the annual Wasatch Regional Ethics Bowl at Weber State University. In five rounds of competition, UVU’s first team went undefeated winning the competition and earning a bid to the National Ethics Bowl competition in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of February 2020. This team was composed of students Josiah Alderink, Brock Hanson, Kaitlyn Russell, Taylor Steele, and Nathaniel Johnson.

UVU’s second team had a great day as well losing only to our first-place team. This team was made up of students Ryan Nielsen, Aleeza Gonzales, Juan Palencia, Olivia Child, Daniel Rivera, and Hunter Nelson. Our third team was most improved in the competition and was composed of students Kara Stange, Remington Rawlings, Tanner Call, Ryan McKay, and Garrett Christensen. The teams were supported throughout the competition and during the preparations leading up to it by students Emily Clark, Hope Luker, Kade Johnson, Jeremy Ellsworth, Conner Allen, Sarah Vermillion, Daniel Webb, Sophie Stephens, Chase Baird, Caleb Wight, Kyle Thomas, and Jacob Marvos. The team was coached by Professor Jeffrey Nielsen.
