Utah Valley University’s Ethics Bowl Team recently competed in the 2023 National Championship Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl in Portland, Oregon. Our team was among the 32 top ethics bowl teams from colleges and universities around the country. It was an incredible educational experience for our students. They were polished, articulate, and represented our school and department extremely well. Of the 32 schools that came in first in regional competitions around the country (so the best teams from great schools), UVU’s team made it to the quarterfinals, and finished 6th in the nation.

Congratulations to the team, all of whom are either philosophy majors or minors: Adam Cook, Claire Montgomery, Hash Brown, Timberlyn Shaw, Rowan Hadlock, Alaina Sapp, Matthew Dickie, Leslie Larson, Cellene Robinson, Kelsi Parker, and Richard Sagendorf. They are coached by Jeffrey Nielsen and Kaitlyn Russell.
