UVU and the entire Utah Valley will have a new state-of-the-art performing arts center, the home for the Utah Symphony in Utah County, and the hub for inaugural events. The ribbon-cutting will kick off the week of celebration.

Tony Award-winning Broadway and television actor Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza in “Seinfeld,” will perform beloved Broadway hits accompanied by the UVU Symphony Orchestra.

Festive Overture: A UVU Musical Celebration

The UVU Music Department dedicates the opening of the Noorda Center with a program of celebratory music featuring ensembles like the UVU Wind Symphony, Jazz Orchestra, Percussion UVU, Chamber Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and Sonic Exchange.

Highlights will include a side-by-side performance of “Jupiter” from Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” by the UVU Symphony Orchestra and Utah Valley Symphony Orchestra, as well as Francis Poulenc’s rousing “Gloria” performed by the Utah Valley Symphony and UVU Chamber Choir alongside a choir of 150 high school singers from the Alpine School District.

Curtain Up! An Evening of Broadway with UVU Theatre

Smith Theatre, Noorda Center

Come enjoy some of the greatest songs and scenes from the American theatre and beyond as our students and faculty perform such classics as "Gypsy," "West Side Story," and "Fiddler on the Roof," alongside modern favorites such as "Phantom of the Opera," "Cats," "Les Misérables," "Wicked," and "Dear Evan Hansen."

Bodies in Motion: A Showcase of UVU Dance
