Our Mission

Our mission is to prepare graduates with the physical, critical thinking, inter-professional collaboration, and the communication skills needed to be professionally successful stewards of local, national and global communities using the highest standards of professional competence and integrity in the practice of respiratory therapy.

Why Respiratory Therapy?

Respiratory care is a fast-growing healthcare field that offers a rewarding professional work environment, competitive salaries, opportunities for continued learning and the satisfaction of knowing you have made a difference. A respiratory therapist is a specialized practitioner who treats people with health challenges affecting the heart and lungs such as asthma, emphysema, pneumonia, cardiovascular disorders, and trauma. Respiratory therapists provide care to patients of all ages—from premature infant to geriatrics—and are trained on advanced medical equipment and technology.

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you can choose from wide-ranging areas of specialization in adult, pediatric and neonatal intensive care; hyperbaric medicine; sleep medicine; pulmonary rehab; telehealth; case management; aeromedical transport; research and education; and management.
