Why Water Wise?

  1. Approximately two-thirds of Utah's municipal water is used in outdoor irrigation, mostly lawns. Visit Utah State University's Center for Water-Efficient Landscaping to learn more.
  2. Water wise garden and lawn practices are a great way to reduce water. Visit Central Utah Conservancy District to see a variety of classes and events. 
  3. The Utah Division of Water Resources publishes a weekly lawn watering guide. This resource can help residents to meet watering needs and avoid overwatering.
  4. To learn more about drought conditions in Utah - historical, current, and predicted - visit the National Integrated Drought Information System website.
