The Kenya Mental Health and Technology Project aims to improve student well-being through digital innovation and collaboration. Building on partnerships between Kenyan universities and UVU, the project seeks to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and provide accessible, private support for young people. Central to the initiative is the development of a mobile app that offers basic mental health information, connects users to local counseling resources, and creates clear referral pathways for those in need of professional care. By integrating AI and technology, the project strives to make mental health support more responsive, inclusive, and tailored to university communities.
