On March 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, I attended the Environmental Justice Panel and Resource Fair at Utah Valley University’s Center Stage. This event was hosted by the UVU Center for Social Impact and featured a discussion integrating environmentalism with social justice, moderated by Student Leader McKay Jones. The panel featured diverse experts who discussed various facets of environmental justice, emphasizing the need for inclusive approaches to environmental policymaking. The discussion was followed by a resource fair, providing attendees with information on local initiatives and opportunities to engage in sustainability efforts.

Attending this panel aligns with the Student-Engaged Learning Model by actively involving students in critical discussions that bridge academic theories with real-world issues. This engagement fosters critical thinking and encourages students to apply classroom knowledge to societal challenges.
