On November 3, 2025, members of the Utah International Mountain Forum, a coalition of clubs at Utah Valley University, put together birthday kits to donate to a local food pantry. We organized ourselves into two small assembly lines to divvy up the supplies and ensure each birthday kit had plates, napkins, cake mix, cupcake liners, frosting, candles, a birthday card, and balloons.

We put together a little over twenty birthday kits to be donated to Tabitha’s Way, a local food pantry in Utah county. The hope is that this donation will be a small step in helping cheer those in difficult circumstances and helping them know they’re appreciated and loved.

I really appreciated being able to collaborate with fellow club members and participate in this service project. I was able to help unpackage and set up the materials for the service project, work with other club members to find the best way to ensure each birthday kit included all items, and help transport the completed kits to the club president’s vehicle to be delivered to Tabitha’s Way. Throughout the process I saw the importance of working together, being willing to listen to others to find the best path forward, and I felt the joy that can come from selfless service. I’m excited to see how we can continue to serve others in further projects.
