Mission Statement:

The Administrative Programming team serves the strategic goals of Utah Valley University by providing access to enterprise data, maintaining mission-critical software, and engineering user-centric software solutions to support university business processes.

Services:

Our staff provides Banner Self-Service and Admin applications that integrate directly into the school's Banner system. We also provide assistance with training in the operation Ellucian Banner services and processes. Departments can request applications, or projects, to be developed that will communicate directly with Banner providing speed and convenience for processing students and everyday office tasks.

If you would like to request a new project, please fill out the OIT Project Request Form. The project will be prioritized among all of APS's additional projects per Portfolio Team.

Goals
  • Re-engineer administrative processes by using the latest technologies to leverage current investment in software applications.
  • Provide wider, more timely and efficient access to University data.
  • Improve quality, availability and usefulness of application systems.
  • Provide adequate resource capacity to support administrative applications.
  • Investigate new methods and technologies for application delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the technologies used to support/enhance UVU’s ERP Banner
  • Provide quality mobile services
  • Integrate third party systems and applications to support the mission of the University
  • Provide faculty, staff, and students with robust enterprise applications that assist them with their day-to-day activities
  • Work with customers to upgrade, enhance, and use UVU's enterprise applications including:
    • Ellucian XE
    • Internet Native Banner
    • Banner Self-Service
    • Job Submissions/ Scheduled Jobs
    • UVU Mobile
    • Wolverine Track
    • Banner Relationship Management (BRM)
    • Operational Data Store (ODS)
    • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
