Our engineering design technology program provides multi-disciplinary building industry experience and enables students to continue their academic progress in upper-division coursework in a bachelor’s degree program. Students can choose to specialize in the following tracks: architectural drafting and design, civil drafting and design, mechanical drafting and design, structural drafting and design, and general drafting and design.
65 Credits to Graduate
The Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Design Technology is a job-ready degree and applies the technical and functional elements of several drafting and design fields.
61 Credits to Graduate
Students will take fundamental courses in drafting and design, industry standard 2D and 3D software, architectural design, civil design and surveying, electrical design, mechanical design, and structural steel detailing and design.
Alternatively, certificates of proficiency are offered in: civil design technology, mechanical design technology, and structural design technology. These can be stand-alone degrees, but some of the coursework can be applied to the larger Associate of Science in Engineering Design Technology.
18 Credits to Graduate
The Certificate of Proficiency in Civil Design & Surveying Technology applies the technical and functional elements of mechanical design.
