Every person. Every place. Every Time. As a group of highly qualified students, Ambassadors represent Utah Valley University to prospective students and the community. We tell the story of UVU and represent its values of engage, include and achieve.
We guide the on-campus tour experience. Ambassadors provide LEGENDARY tours of campus to interested groups and individuals throughout the year.
We tell the UVU story at high schools. Ambassadors partner with Admissions Counselors to visit high schools and provide information to prospective students.
We represent UVU at recruitment events. Ambassadors plan and execute events that assist prospective students in preparing for college.
We give back to the community through service. Ambassadors plan and prepare a service project each semester to show care for our community.
We develop foundational leadership skills. Ambassadors participate in a robust leadership development program to learn skills for now and the future.
We create friendships that last forever. Ambassadors collaborate and connect with many people in the UVU community, creating life-long friends.
Ambassadors work on projects throughout the year to develop four specific skills.
Emotional intelligence: the capability of individuals to recognize and manage yours and others emotions. This skill has regularly been touted as one of the most important skills to possess.
Teamwork: the process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal. Every Ambassador will hold a position in the program and will work on a team.
Communication: As a core principle of success in everyday life, communication is key to creating a LEGENDARY experience for every person, in every place, every time.
Ownership & Accountability: Taking personal responsibility for you and your team’s emotions, duties, and results. People who can truly take personal ownership over their responsibilities have dramatically more success because they are not bogged down by negative self-talk.
Ambassadors receive a partial tuition waiver scholarship.
Ambassadors participate in a robust leadership development program.
