Oct. 24–25
New Kid is a bold, theatrical experiment that puts audiences directly in the shoes of a language learner. Featuring four actors—two speaking English, and two using a stylized gibberish—the play immerses viewers in the experience of cultural disorientation, empathy, and discovery. Fast-paced and funny, it challenges viewers to consider what it means to belong. This is a short, sweet show best suited to young audiences (ideally grades 3-8), though, as with all TYA, we aim to be accessible and enjoyable for all audiences.
ASL Interpretation available on Friday, October 24.
Sensory-friendly performance available on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m.
