Upcoming Exhibits & Events

Art of Our Century: Shadows and Light

Spotlight Artist - Josie Bell

May 14 – June 22

The 2019 Art of Our Century exhibition explores the juxtaposition of shadow and light. Artistic depictions of shadow and light bend our perceptions of the real and the abstract, challenging how we view the world. Join us for this juried show of eclectic and modern work spotlighting artist Josie Bell. Josie is best known for the use of complex textural paint and for her spiritual approach to nature and ecological themes.

Heroes & Villains: How Myth Made Fantasy

Monarchs, Magic & Monsters

July 9th – September 14

The heroes and villains of modern fantasy stories reflect the enduring influence of the character types rooted in mythology. In this one-of-a-kind exhibition, comic book and graphic artists explore how our favorite fantasy heroes and villains have evolved from myth and legend. Led by artist Chad Hardin (Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman), the artists invite the public to help bring to life an array of monarchs, wizards, and monsters. Help the museum create art of mythical proportions as we line the walls of the museum with original art ready to be painted by you!
