We are thrilled to announce the arrival of the ALL NEW 2023 UVU Conference on Mental Health, presented with our partners the UVU College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cambia Health, UVU Crisis Services Department, UVU Student Health Center – Crisis Services, Student Affairs – Office of the Dean of Students, and the UVU Veteran's Success Center. Set to take place on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm, this single-day event promises to be a transformative experience.
What sets this conference apart is its integration of topics, creating a dynamic and engaging program in two equally enriching formats: virtual and live face-to-face. This ingenious 'hybrid' format caters to diverse preferences, allowing attendees to choose their preferred mode of participation. The conference will feature dedicated 'tracks' focusing on essential areas such as Suicide Prevention, Addiction, Interpersonal Violence, and Depression. Participants can explore multiple tracks or fully immerse themselves in a single track for the entire day.
One of the standout features of the conference is the comprehensive conference portal. Following the event, all session recordings, whether presented live or via webinar, will be available for a generous two-week period. Registered participants will have exclusive access to the sessions, captivating videos of special presentations—including pre-recorded sessions and student poster presentations—and engaging virtual exhibit booths showcasing resources and services our esteemed sponsors and supporters provide. Moreover, attendees can earn continuing education units throughout the conference, catering to DOPL licensing requirements. It is important to note that the conference portal will permanently close on Friday, November 10, at 5 pm.
Each focus track will offer four concurrent sessions that delve into the intricate facets of suicide prevention, addiction, interpersonal violence, and depression, shedding light on these mental health challenges' profound impact on adults, children, families, and the wider community. Additionally, the conference will showcase several graduate student poster presentations, providing a platform for current research dedicated to these crucial mental health issues.
