All UVU students, faculty, and staff automatically receive any emergency text notifications.
To ensure you receive these alerts make sure the phone number UVU has on file for
you is your phone number, not a relatives. You can update your information by going
to MyUVU > profile > 'Personal Contact Information'.
Your Quest Challenge is test if these alerts will come to your phone. To do this
access your MyUVU > sign in > profile (upper right/profile pic) > 'text opt in'. At
the bottom of the page you will see a button that says 'Test Your Text Messaging'.
Click it. You should see the message below come to your phone momentarily. If you
do not receive this message you need to update your contact information.
You can sign up for other UVU alerts in this area such as
