Make sure your pre-reqs are done before the semester begins.
The RCA program meets Wednesdays and Fridays 7:30 am – 5:00 pm and some Saturdays, TBA. These times are subject to change and students cannot miss any classes due to military, weddings, etc. without prior approval.

Classes typically begin in early January ending in April (Spring semester) and late August ending in December (Fall semester).


1PT Requirements

Be able to successfully complete the RCA Physical Fitness Ability Test (PFAT) prior to acceptance:

  • Run 1.5 miles in less than 15 minutes
  • As many possible push-ups in 1 minute, from your toes, full arm extension
  • As many possible sit-ups in 1 minute, hands on head or behind your neck
2Driver's License

Must have a valid driver's license and send in a copy with the application


Complete: (Must have a C- or higher)

  • Demonstrate competency in English and Math by one of the following:
    • ACT, SAT, High School AP courses, college level courses       (ENGH 1005 and MAT 0950), degrees or RCA entrance exam
  • ESFF 1000 (4 credits) – Intro to Emergency Services and Ability Testing
  • ESFF 1120 (3 credits) – Principles of Fire and Emergency Services Safety Survival
  • ESEC 1140 (9 credits) or EMT state certified

You will recieve a copy after you submit your application and it has been processed. NOTE: Recieving a copy of the application does not guarantee entrance into the program. You must register for the RCA course after your application has been accepted.
