Organization: Multicultural Engagement Program
The UVU Juneteenth Celebration is an annual event celebrating the history and freedom of African Americans through art, dance, music, food, and community. This year's event features community organization Izzy's Village as well as the work of artist Melissa Tshikamba. The theme for year's celebration is "Freedom and Divinity." The goal is foster a position self-image for Black people, women, and youth by expressing freedom through celebration and honoring the divinity within each of us.
