Be the leader you would follow.

The mission for the Team Leaders is to develop a team of leaders who create connections, engage in community outreach, practice Strengths-Based leadership, and grow their leadership abilities.

What We Do

The LEAD program pairs students with peer mentors who serve as team leaders. Team leaders check in with other LEAD students to provide support, answer questions, and help students as needed.

Applications open each spring, and LEAD team leaders commit to serving for a full academic year. Team leaders are eligible for a $1,500 scholarship for both fall and spring semesters.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be enrolled and complete at least 12 credit hours per semester 
  • Have prior experience in the LEAD program 
  • Attend the following LEAD meetings and events:
    • Team Leader Orientation
    • Utah Leadership Academy
    • Team Leader Kick-Off 
    • LEAD Program Kick-Off
    • ALL Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) Leadership Lectures from 6 – 8 pm in Center Stage.
  • Priority is given to UVU students who are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.
