Research and Databases
Research can feel daunting when you’re just starting out. Find resources to help you start your research by accessing Fulton Library’s Research LibGuide to learn research basics, watch an introductory research tutorial, and search for articles. Once you’re comfortable with research basics, one of the best ways to find reliable academic sources is through the library’s article databases. These databases are grouped by subject, making it easy to find the best ones for your topic, or you can also access Fulton Library’s resources on identifying databases for your research. Books, Movies, and More
The library website isn’t just for finding scholarly articles—you can also use it to find physical and digital materials. From the library homepage, simply use the main search bar to look in the catalog for books, e-books, movies, and other resources available through the library. The search results will show you what’s available, where it’s located, and whether it’s currently checked out. If the library doesn’t have something you need, you can request it through interlibrary loan, which allows you to borrow materials from other libraries. Not sure what to check out?
