Outside of ACT/SAT and course placement, you will need at least one proctored ALEKS exam to officially place into a math class
The test has 25 questions and adjusts based on what you know. If you don’t recognize a topic, use the “I don’t know” button—it’s okay! You can take up to 5 attempts, but only the highest proctored score counts. Between attempts, you’ll need to study in ALEKS for 4 1/2 hours and wait 24 hours.
No outside calculator is allowed. ALEKS has a calculator that is provided on specific problems. The majority of problems on the exam do not allow for a calculator.
Scores are valid for 2 years and help you skip lower-level courses, but don’t count for class credit.
