Schedule an ALEKS Placement Test

About ALEKS

To officially place into a math class, you’ll need to take at least one proctored ALEKS exam (in person or online).

The test has 25 questions and adjusts based on what you know. If you don’t recognize a topic, use the “I don’t know” button—it’s okay! You can take up to 5 attempts, but only the highest proctored score counts. Between attempts, you’ll need to study in ALEKS for 4 1/2 hours and wait 24 hours.

No outside calculator is allowed. ALEKS has a calculator that is provided on specific problems. The majority of problems on the exam do not allow for a calculator.

Scores are valid for 2 years and help you skip lower-level courses, but don’t count for class credit.
