Important Note

Please read all submission instructions carefully, particularly in regard to image/file size. If you run into an error message and are unable to complete the application, email the following information to uvumuseum@uvu.edu: image files, list of works (title, media, dimensions, year), and artist statement.

The UVU Museum of Art is currently acccepting entries for the 2024 Student Art Exhibition!

This juried exhibition features several cash prizes and awards. All Art & Design students are encouraged to apply. Open to all UVU students. 

 

January 29th: Online entries open 

February 16th: Entry deadline

Entry guidelines

  • Only entries by UVU students that have been registered in classes during 2023–2024 will be accepted.
  • Maximum 4 entries per student. $5 per entry, paid online during the entry process. 
  • The entry fee is non-refundable. Entry fees fund student awards. 
  • Digital files will ONLY be accepted in JPG or PNG format. 
  • Image  files must be under 2 MB, and have a maximum resolution of 1920 px on the longest side. 
  • If  your work includes multiple components (triptych, series, etc.), make sure your image includes all pieces. Extra detail shots should be included within your 1 submitted image file. Video entries must submit a screenshot from the piece and include a link to the video in the artist statement section of the application. 
  • All standard media may be entered. Installations may be considered where the work has been constructed and photographed in its entirety. Works that may be considered offensive or constitute a public safety, health or environmental hazard will not be considered.  
  • Works that utilize AI technology in their creation are acceptable ONLY if the technologies used are included in the ‘Medium’ field of the entry form. Failure to disclose AI use will result in disqualification.
  • Serial works may not include more than 3 pieces. 
  • Entries must have been created in the last academic year. 
  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance of a work into the exhibit. A list of accepted pieces will be posted on the Museum website on February 23rd.
