Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We are pleased to announce that in continued collaboration and cooperation with the Utah Department of Health and Test Utah, free COVID-19 testing will be provided for the UVU community, family, and friends. There are two ways to take advantage of this opportunity.

Option 1

As part of ongoing efforts to provide exceptional care for our students, faculty, and staff, and our community, Utah Valley University will host UDOH and Test Utah this Wednesday and Thursday. Drive-up and walk-up testing will occur in parking lot six on the west side of the Clarke Building.

Testing is open to all who wish to participate, regardless of whether they are exhibiting symptoms, during the following hours:

  • Sept. 23,  1 – 5 p.m.
  • Sept. 24,  9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Please register on TestUtah.com (look for the UVU location). Utilize the authorization number 27110. Test results will be sent to the email provided during registration. If there are questions regarding test results you may also call the Test Utah helpline at (801) 683-0790.

Option 2

Additional COVID-19 testing is available at the Provo Towne Centre mall and Timpanogos Regional Hospital utilizing the code 27110.

To be tested, please go to TestUtah.com, fill out the required demographic information, and then provide your referral code when prompted to do so. You will then be able to schedule testing at any of the Test Utah locations. There are two in Utah County (Orem and Provo).

Once you have selected a location, date, and time for your test, Test Utah will provide you a QR code that you will take to the site at your assigned date and time. You will be tested free of charge and will be notified by text and/or email when your results are available. If you test positive, a public health investigator will contact you. You should let the investigator know you are a UVU student or employee so the investigator can coordinate contact tracing efforts with UVU.

Regardless of where you are tested, your identity and medical information will be protected under HIPAA guidelines. If you or someone you have been in close contact with tests positive, we ask that you complete the COVID-19 Self Reporting Form. It will allow us to assist you and take the necessary actions to protect others within our campus community.

Please take advantage of these services. We also ask that you continue to follow health and safety guidelines. Stay well, and stay safe!

Sincerely,

Robin Ebmeyer
