Important Info for UVU Fall Break, October 15-17

Fall Break is nearly upon us. Whether you plan to use this time to recharge or get caught up, we hope you enjoy the time away safely.

Wolverines,

Fall Break is nearly upon us. Whether you plan to use this time to recharge or get caught up, we hope you enjoy the time away safely.

While it’s a break in the semester, we hope you’ll continue to protect and monitor your health closely.

While you are away, have a plan to minimize your exposure to COVID-19. Follow CDC recommendations by social distancing, wearing a mask when social distancing isn’t possible, practicing thorough handwashing, and using hand sanitizer.

If you become sick, stay home, call your healthcare provider, and get a free COVID-19 test. The tests are available by utilizing the UVU authorization code 27110 at TestUtah.com. If you have been exposed to someone who has the virus or test positive yourself, please submit a self-reporting form. This information helps us better support you, our other students, and our faculty and administration. It also helps us isolate infections to keep our campuses open.

We appreciate the efforts you have made to stop the spread of the virus within our community.

The current lower case count is encouraging. The seven-day rolling average indicates a drop in the number of new and active cases of COVID-19 on our Orem Campus and in our area, so let’s continue to be vigilant in our efforts to prevent another spike.

We welcome those who choose to visit campus during Fall Break. If you plan to visit, please don’t forget to bring a mask.

Campus facilities will be open during the following hours of Fall Break:

Orem Campus: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Fulton Library: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Student Life & Wellness Center: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday

Wasatch Campus: Thursday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

All other campuses will be closed throughout Fall Break.

Fall Break is a mid-semester opportunity to hit refresh before you hit the books again. Enjoy the respite, and stay healthy and safe.

Best wishes,
